About Me

Welcome to my blog. I am a chartered academic librarian from South Yorkshire and have worked in Further and Higher Education libraries, albeit in and around London, since 2004. I became a professionally qualified librarian in 2008 and am currently working as a Subject Liaison Librarian in a London University, providing student and staff support with digital and information literacy.

I am passionate about helping people develop and learn. My current professional interests are educational development, information literacy, social media, lifelong learning, well-being and coaching.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold an MA in Library and Information Science from UCL. Throughout my career I have been actively involved in CILIP Academic and Research Libraries (ARLG) London and South East, Special Libraries Association (SLA) Europe and London Information and Knowledge Exchange (LIKE) committees. My involvement with SLA Europe stems from winning the Leadership and Management/SLA Europe sponsored Early Career Conference Award in 2012.
